This site uses cookies. There are four of them, and not one more. None of them serves advertising, none measures audience, none follows you from one site to another. This page lists them all, says what they are for, how long they stay, and why you will not see a consent banner when you arrive.
What a cookie is, in one sentence
A cookie is a small file that the site places in your browser in order to remember something between two pages: that you are logged in, for example, or which language you want to read the menu in.

Management panel cookies
These three cookies concern only the establishment's staff, once logged in to the management area. A guest scanning a QR code never encounters them.

This cookie is only placed if you click on a language choice. If you touch nothing, nothing is stored.
What you will not find
No advertising cookie. No audience measurement or analytics cookie. No tracker belonging to a social network or an ad network. On the public menu pages there is not even any JavaScript.
Why there is no consent banner
Consent is not required for every cookie. It is required for those that serve a purpose other than running the service you asked for — advertising and audience measurement, mainly. It is not required for two categories, and our four cookies fall into those two.
Strictly necessary cookies. `marmara_session`, `marmara_etablissement` and `marmara_flash` serve only to make the management area work. Without the first one, no login is possible at all. They are indispensable to the service that the user explicitly requested by logging in.
The cookie placed at your request. `lang_<establishment>` only appears if you click on a language. The click is the request. Asking for your permission again immediately afterwards would be absurd.
This is what the European ePrivacy Directive provides for and, under Spanish law, which is the law applicable to us, article 22.2 of the LSSI: prior consent does not apply to technical cookies necessary for the provision of a service requested by the user.
In practical terms, for you: nothing to click before reading an allergen menu. A guest seated at a table who scans a QR code sees the list of dishes straight away.
This is a deliberate choice. Displaying a banner “to look serious” would amount to asking for a permission we do not need, creating an obligation the law does not impose on us, and letting people believe that things are happening which are not. We prefer this page, which says exactly what is stored.
Refusing or deleting these cookies
Your browser is in charge. You can block this site's cookies, delete them after the event, or refuse everything by default. The route varies from one browser to another, but it is always to be found in the settings, under privacy or browsing data. Most browsers also allow you to delete the cookies of a single site without touching the others.
What that changes
In the management panel. Deleting or blocking `marmara_session` logs you out. You will have to log in again, and if cookies remain blocked, the session will not hold from one page to the next: the management area becomes unusable. This is not a fault, it is the direct consequence — that cookie is the one that carries the session.
Without `marmara_etablissement`, an account managing several hotels will have to choose the establishment again at each session. Without `marmara_flash`, all you will lose is confirmation messages.
On the public menu, nothing. It does not depend on any cookie in order to be displayed. Block everything, delete everything: the allergen menu works exactly the same. All you will lose is the memory of your language, and you will have to select it again on your next visit.
IP addresses
Your IP address is read when you log in, sign up or send the contact form, solely in order to curb repeated attempts. It stays in RAM, erases itself, and is never written to a database or to a log. It is not a cookie, and it is never used to recognise you or to track you.
